Let’s see what the updated version of YONO has to offer us.
New in SBI YONO app
On the occasion of 68th Bank Day celebrations, SBI launched its updated version of Yono mobile banking app which introduced few new features like UPI scan and transaction and Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawals (ICCW) feature like Hindu. With ICCW, users can also seamlessly withdraw cash from SBI or other banks using the UPI QR Cash feature.
“The transaction is facilitated by a single-use dynamic QR code displayed on the ATM screen. Users can withdraw cash conveniently using the scan and pay feature available in their UPI app,” according to the statement.
Now users don’t always have to carry a physical card with them or keep the ATM PIN at hand, as they can easily withdraw cash just by scanning through their smartphone. In addition to improving the user experience, it also minimizes the risk of card theft or cloning.
SBI took a big step in merging banking and technology, making it digitally more secure and user-friendly with this effort.
Dinesh Kumar Khara, Chairman, State Bank of India said, “The YONO app has been redesigned keeping in mind our customers’ expectations for a seamless and enjoyable digital experience. This further fulfills our ambition to make the YONO for Every Indian mission a reality.”
